Yes! UltraShieldʼs color technology coats the boards in a very stain, scratch, and fade resistant layer. In addition, the boards are waterproof so there is no need for any labor that is necessary with regular lumber. Normal sweeping and cleaning is still necessary to clean off debris and dirt.

Yes! You can cut, nail, drill, screw, and rout UltraShield with standard woodworking tools. The density of UltraShield is greater than wood thatʼs why we recommend using carbide tipped blades and bits.
Yes! UltraShield decking has mold inhibitors that prevent mold growing on the inside of the board. Surface mold can still happen, however, it will never penetrate the board itself.
